VIDEO ART CHINA

At the turning of the year, de Art Center is pleased to host the event “Video Art China” which aims at learning Chinese video art in recent years. We invite five who are active artists and curators in China including Zhang Hanlu, Xin Yunpeng, Bian Ka, Tao Hui and Miao Zijin to host the whole event together. From their own perspective of video art, each of them will plan a week-long event. The whole event will last five weeks.

The first week event will start from 2018.12.25, planned by curator Zhang Hanlu, screening the works made by Ge Yulu and Liu Weiwei. Panel discussion after screening will be on December 25th  from 4pm to 6pm.

The second week event will start from 2019.1.1 to 1.6, planned by artist Xin Yunpeng, screening the work Yanqi Lake. Panel discussion will be on January 1st from 8pm to 9pm. Before and after the panel discussion will be 2 screenings, will start from 7:30pm and 9:00pm.

The third week event will start from 2019.1.8 to 1.13, planned by BianKa, screening the work After Us, the Deluge. Panel discussion will be on January 10th from 4pm to 6pm.

The fourth week event will start from 2019.1.15 to 1.20, planned by Tao Hui, screening the works Lao Zhao, One day in May, Apei. Panel discussion will be on January 19th from 4pm to 6pm.

The fifth week event will start from 2019.1.22 to 1.27, planned by Miao Zijin, screening the works The pale view of hills, Black Ocean, Smoke and Fire, Roleplay. Panel discussion will be on January 23th from 6pm to 7pm.
